Outback Aussie Tours is a proud Eco Certified Nature Tourism Operator committed to best practice environmental sustainability, contributing to conserving the environment and helping local communities.
Our initiatives:
- Savannah Guides Operator – Our drivers are all trained to Savannah Guides Standards; a highly professional network of tour guides and tour operators dedicated to helping guests and visitors understand the natural and cultural landscapes through interpretation and promotion of sustainable tourism principles.
- Sponsorship, donations and support for various local community events and initiatives.
- Employing and training in our local community.
- Raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service through awareness and donations from guests on our tours and the Outback Rail Adventure.
- Recycling of cans and plastic bottles as part of the Containers for Change program across our Office, Hospitality team and Outback Rail Adventure.
- Use of reusable items for tour smokos on our Buses, Boat and Rail Motors including mugs / cups, cutlery and water containers for refilling water bottles.
- Solar panel array at Smithy’s Camp.
- Use of Australian made natural eucalyptus products for cleaning in our office, buses, boats and railmotors.
