All aboard our unforgettable 2000 class rail motors for a journey that captures the romance and rhythm of the outback. Settle in and take in a different perspective of the landscape as we roll through scrub and grasslands, spot wildlife, and bring to life the region’s rich natural and cultural heritage.
Step off the rail motors for a guided mulga walk, where you’ll learn about bush medicines and uncover the secrets of the Leander sand ridge. On arrival at the Darr River, soak up the atmosphere of one of the major tributaries of the Thomson River and Cooper Creek catchment, savour the moment, and enjoy smoko as we boil the billy.
After an unforgettable outback rail adventure on the Great Darr River Rail Run, re-board the train and relax on the return journey to Longreach Railway Station.
