Board the Heritage rail motors for the Great Darr River Run and enjoy the changing scenery, wildlife and waterholes along the way. Step off for a short Mulga walk to learn about bush medicines before a homemade morning tea at the Darr River waterhole. Continue east to Ilfracombe, where you’ll explore the Wellshot Centre, Machinery Mile and the famous Wellshot Hotel. In the late afternoon, relax on the Drover’s Sunset Cruise with nibbles and stunning outback views, followed by live entertainment and a two-course camp oven dinner under the stars at Smithy’s Outback Dinner & Show.

Receive a warm welcome at the historic Rosebank Station, originally settled as a sheep and cattle station some 100 years ago. Enjoy local hospitality with morning tea and great stories. Mid-Morning, wander the world-class Qantas Founders Museum, eloquently telling the story of the founding of Qantas. View marvellous interpretive and interactive exhibits then join a guided Airpark Tour. This evening, marvel at the entertaining and informative Luminescent Longreach Sound & Light Show, which brings the 100-year-story of Qantas to life followed by an exclusive dinner surrounded by aviation history.

Start the day at the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame, exploring its themed galleries and enjoying the Stockman’s Live Show before lunch at the Drovers Place, built by RM Williams himself. Spend some leisure time in town or at your accommodation, then board the Heritage rail motors for the Silver-Tails Rail Sunset Tour. Savour signature canapés and drinks as you watch the outback sunset over the floodplains and Mulga country. Return to Longreach for a farewell dinner and reflect on the journey’s highlights.
